Okin BPS, a European company that provides business processing services for information technology and telecommunications firms, will establish its U.S. headquarters in San Antonio, officials announced Monday.

The headquarters will bring more than 1,400 new jobs and a capital investment of at least $25 million to the San Antonio area, officials with San Antonio, Bexar County and the state said at an event at Brooks on the city’s South Side.

Okin, based in the Czech Republic, plans to invest about $23 million in the headquarters and renovate two existing buildings at Brooks.

The state will grant $6.6 million out of the Texas Enterprise Fund to the project while City Council members and Bexar County commissioners are expected to approve their own incentive packages at a later date.
