On Aug. 17, the public is invited to dress comfortably, bring their chairs and friends to enjoy free Music Nights at The Greenline, the area’s green space. The event is similar to weekly gatherings at The Pearl.

DJ Willy J is scheduled to provide the music from 6 to 9 p.m., event details posted online say.

Brooks said the concert series provides an opportunity to “showcase” talent from the community at the 2532 Sidney Brooks park.

Another concert is planned for Sept. 14. Brooks also has dates for 2020, including Feb. 22, May 2 and July 18. Each event follows the same 6 to 9 p.m. time slot.
