SAN ANTONIO, TX– Representatives from the City of San Antonio, Brooks City Base, and the NRP Group, LLC gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Residences at Kennedy Hill. The $28 million property will provide unique modern luxuries and amenities to local residents and represents a continued investment in Brooks City Base and the South San Antonio community.

Located near the University of Incarnate Word’s future School of Osteopathic Medicine, the 304-unit development is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017. The property will offer affordable, luxury living to area students, professionals, and their families. Unique amenities were designed to complement the Brooks City Base community lifestyle where people live, work, learn, and play.

“This location will give residents opportunities to live where they study and work,” said Dan Markson, Senior Vice President of the NRP Group. “The community connectivity maximizes our investment and will help support long-term economic growth and the improvement of quality of life for everyone in this area,” he said.

The Residences at Kennedy Hill is the fifth residential development on Brooks City Base, a thriving mixed-use community on 1,300 acres that also includes major employers like Mission Trail Baptist Hospital, DPT  Laboratories, Mission Solar, VMC, and dozens of others. Brooks City Base and NRP Group first partnered in 2011 to build the highly successful Landings apartments on S. New Braunfels.

“There is clearly very high demand for places to live in District 3 and in particular on Brooks City Base,” said San Antonio District 3 City Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran. “People enjoy the convenience of being so close to downtown and of all the restaurants and shops nearby. Brooks City Base is maximizing that community feel and I’m pleased to see NRP’s continued commitment to this area.”

“The investment in The Residences at Kennedy Hill is part of more than $260 million in capital projects that will be constructed on Brooks City Base this year,” said Leo Gomez, President and CEO of Brooks City Base. “Our campus and community are thriving and we have many more exciting announcements planned this year that will be great for Brooks and for the entire region.”
