SAN ANTONIO – Representatives from Brooks City Base will be participating in the SelectUSA Greater China Roadshow May 18 – 29, visiting Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Dalian to explore opportunities to increase investment and economic development on the Brooks City Base campus. In addition to these visits, Sha-Rone V. Caffie-Reyes, Director of Brooks City Base Regional Center, will also travel to Singapore and Vietnam to continue relationship-building with delegations in these communities that have previously visited Brooks City Base or expressed interest in development projects on the campus. A representative from the International Trade Center at UTSA will also attend the SelectUSA trip, the only other participant from the San Antonio region.
Participation in this trip is part of an aggressive international economic development and investment push by Brooks City Base, intended to attract investment in the Brooks City Base EB-5 program or to demonstrate opportunities for international businesses to locate at Brooks City Base. Representatives from Brooks City Base have also visited or welcomed delegations from target markets in China, Brazil, Nigeria, and Mexico that have a demonstrated interest in opportunities that exist in San Antonio and on the Brooks City Base campus. In a recent example, Brooks City Base welcomed a delegation of 12 business leaders from Vietnam in May for a tour and in-depth discussion about local investment opportunities.
