Geraldine Garcia

Geraldine J. Garcia is a consultant with a bipartisan external relations/governmental affairs firm, Andrade Van de Putte and Associates, specializing in building partnerships in the local and state arena. Ms. Garcia also serves as an advisor and School Resource Officer, East Central Independent School District Police Department. She has over 48 years of law enforcement experience. She retired from the San Antonio Police Department as Assistant Chief in 2016, after 34 years of service. Ms. Garcia served on the Mayors Commission on the Status of Women before her appointment to the Brooks Development Authority Board of Directors in May 2022. Geraldine also serves as a Brooks Gives Back Board Member since 2023 and is a Board Advisor for Children at Risk, a state nonprofit organization.

Ms. Garcia has been an adjunct at the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Career Technology Educator (CTE) at East Central Independent School District. A member of the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives, a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates and Texas Major City Chiefs.
