Brooks hosted Apollo 11 astronauts before the Moon Landing
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, Connie visited San Antonio College’s Scobee Education Center to learn more about Brooks’ connection to the momentous event. Did you know all of the Apollo 11 astronauts completed their medical evaluations and procedures at Brooks? Although there’s no longer a military presence at Brooks, the historic advancements made in South San Antonio won’t soon be forgotten.
