A company wants to build a data center, solar farm and battery storage facility at Brooks on San Antonio’s South Side.
A company is looking to buy 44 acres from the Brooks Development Authority to build a data center, solar farm and battery storage facility at the former Air Force base on San Antonio’s South Side.
Arm AC Lookout LLC would buy the land at the southwest portion of the campus for $11.6 million, according to a resolution giving Brooks leaders the go-ahead to negotiate the transaction.
Executives at Austin-based investment and development firms Archer Creek and Arm Management are part of the Arm AC partnership and have collaborated on industrial projects across Central Texas over the past decade, the resolution states.
It’s unclear how big Arm AC’s facilities at Brooks would be, and whether the solar farm and battery storage would help power the data center. Colin Armstrong of Arm AC said the firms are still in the early stages of the proposal.
