YOUR VOICE can make it happen.

Connecting South New Braunfels to Loop 410 is at the top of Brooks’ infrastructure priority list. The estimated $36 million project will not only solidify the region as a key area of prosperity and connect a booming South Side to neighboring communities, it will also alleviate traffic congestion along SE Military and I-37 now and in the future.

In coordination with the City of San Antonio, Brooks has submitted the connection project to the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) for funding consideration. AAMPO is the local organization tasked with securing federal funds for regional projects. Funds will be awarded to projects that are ready to start and set into effect in fiscal years 2023-2026.

The South New Braunfels to Loop 410 connection calls for:

  • North and south bound traffic
  • Divided four-lane roadways
  • Center median within the Brooks campus

This extension will include:

  • Upgraded public utilities
  • Storm water retention
  • Sustainable landscaping
  • State-of-the-art streetlight technologies
  • A multi-use path connecting to public areas at Brooks

Would the South New Braunfels to Loop 410 connection benefit your everyday commute? Does the connection project sound like an important next step for the South Side? Have you always wished you could get to Loop 410 faster? Here is how you can help:
