TXP, Inc. forecasts for 2029
- Estimated direct employment in TIRZ 16 is projected to reach approximately 10,500
- Total earnings impact (direct + ripple effects in the San Antonio MSA) will be nearly $1.1 billion
- Total employment impact will approach 21,000 regional jobs.
- The Brooks TIRZ, City of San Antonio, and Bexar County collectively will receive an estimated $19.9 million attributable to direct Brooks activity.
- The indirect and induced impact (ripple effects) will generate an additional $21.2 million for these entities, putting the total at $41.1 million annually.
Brooks has already made an impact
- Development at Brooks totals more than $1.3 billion, to date, with another nearly $700 million in development underway.
- Recruitment of Cuisine Solutions and OKIN Process will collectively account for millions in capital investment and thousands of jobs.
- Estimated direct employment in TIRZ 16 has grown to approximately 6,060 jobs.
- Total employment impact has grown to approximately 13,250 regional jobs.
Small-town feel, big city amenities
Brooks Town Center
Mixed-use residential, townhouses, retail, restaurants, and green space will complete the first-of-its-kind Town Center in San Antonio’s South Side, anchored by The Greenline, the award-winning park, and the Brooks VIA Transit Center. This phased project is currently underway and will bring together the vibrant South Side community into one convenient hub.

55-Acre Residential Development
At least 230 more families will be able to call Brooks home once the 55-acre residential development is complete. This high-density, single-family residential area will increase Brooks’ portfolio of housing and facilitate the Los Cielos housing development along SE Military Dr.
